America
I both love it and think it so fucked up here!

Worked here in the early 90,s in Baltimore but fuck me has it changed, shocked at the amount of homeless you see, fucked up cunts on drugs and people down on their luck.

Contrast that with the extreme of wealth on display the glitz and glamour, the vibrant restaurants and bars.

Like 2 very different worlds here, like never before.

Fucked up IMO

Both wrong so it seems Kenzo son...

"Golf is a good walk spoiled." Popularly attributed to Mark Twain, but it was first used in 1948. Twain died in 1910.

Westside... blimey just looked at their fees... if you take the buggy, caddy, club hire option you are looking at over $900.00 !!! Thing is they can justify it as it's almost solidly booked out all the time... incredible.

We had a lovely walk around Pebble Beach… no hacking balls into the pacific.. and $600 better off… win/win.

Re: America
In fairness, pebble beach is the exception rather than the rule.

Well it may be the exception, in allowing you to wear a hat in the club house, but at $595 a round on Pebble Beach Golf Links, plus $50 for a buggy, it certainly isn't egalitarian.

There are though cheaper course there, 6 more 18 hole courses and one 9 hole. Spy Glass for example is a bargain $395 and Spanish Bay, a cheap as chips $295.

Re: America
So are we saying then that ALL Golf Clubs (apart from Pebble Beach) are elitist, black balling, cross burning, pointy hat wearing, snobby shit cunts?? I go along with that…

Re: America
In fairness, pebble beach is the exception rather than the rule. The US golf system is elitist, nepotistic and racist in equal measure. Quite disgusting. Which makes the pga tour stance on liv singularly hypocritical.

Someone on here said they worship the dollar.
This is the one thing that appears to unite every yank of any persuasion. No matter who they are the dollar comes first. I remember going to a farmers market in West Hollywood and they were like fucking currency traders.

Re: America
certainly no more than 30% of the electorate as a whole.

Those who can't be arsed to vote, shouldn't be included in any debate about the rights and wrongs of any given voting system.

And you consistently ignore the fact, that changing the voting system, was rejected by 2/3rds of those who voted on it, in the 2011 referendum. Or was the referendum not representative democracy?

TM, can you spot the difference between Chairman Mao and democracy?

Or as one of this site’s Putin lovers does the difference escape you?

Re: America
Whoever gets the most seats at Westminster will get to govern with untrammelled power yet that will have been achieved with much less than 50% of the votes cast and certainly no more than 30% of the electorate as a whole.

That is not representative democracy.

So if Labour manages to win the next election, which is a distinct possibility, will you come on here and trumpet that Labour is an unrepresentative government?
